STATEMENT OF THE CFAP CAMBODIA TO SUPPORT CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CAMBODIA AND THAILAND!

to support Ceasefire Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand on 28th July 2025 in Putrajaya, Malaysia

On behalf of the farmers’ organizations in Cambodia.

We would like to support fully on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand that came into effect on Monday 28th July 2025 at 00hr after efforts by Malaysia, Chair of the ASEAN, the United States and China.

We are observing that the growing of border tensions between Cambodia and Thailand are not only threatening the innocent farmers and people live along the borders of both countries, but they are also leading to the inhumanity, international law violations and finally it effects to the social, economic and trade deal in the ASEAN region and in the world.

On behalf of farmers and Farmers’ Organizations in Cambodia, we would like to urge both countries’ leaders to end hostilities, respect humanity Acts and respect the ceasefire agreement in Putrajaya, Malaysia agreed on 28th July 2025. We urge both countries’ leaders to bring the border issues to the international laws in the framework of the United Nations to ensure long term peace, good cooperation and friendship among the bordered countries and in the region.
