Small Household Pond can help smallholders to continue growing vegetable in dry season in rural Cambodia!
Our smallholders still continue growing vegetable in opened space which suffered lots of climate impacts without irrigation system, though in a difficult situation. Hope that small rural poors receive community pond and or household pond from donors in the future to continue growing veggies in a year round to survive themselves as well as contribution to feed people.
The Cambodian Farmer Federation Association of Agricultural Producers (CFAP Cambodia) used to provided 35 household ponds and our members use to grow vegetable and crops for few months in dry season (November to April), most of the ponds were used to grow fishes, now one of them is planning to grow lobster to survive the families and support their children to go to school as well as to improve their rural living condition better in the future.
