GLOBAL FARMERS’ FORUM – FAFO2024!
The 8th Global Farmers’ Forum was held in Rome, Italy from 12 to 13 February 2024. This year, the Global Farmers’ Forum brings together more than 80 farmer leaders from around the world, representing millions of smallholder farmers and rural farming families. The forum was being held at the headquarters of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome, Italy.
The founder and chief executive of the Cambodian Farmer Federation Association of Agricultural Producers (CFAP Cambodia) was one of the delegates of the World Farmers Organization (WFO) participated in the Global Farmers Forum 2024. The Global Farmers Forum brought knowledge, experience and development in partnership between farmers’ organizations, indigenous organizations and youth organizations worldwide.
The Global Farmers Forum (FAFO) was initiated by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in 2005, since then the Global Farmers’ Forum (FAFO) is held every two-year until 2016, then every four years thereafter at the global level.
Each region has established a regional FAFO respectively. Asia has already hosted two events i.e. the first regional farmers’ forum held in October 19-21, 2018, in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and the second regional farmers’ forum held in October 25-29, 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.

វេទិកាកសិករសកលលើកទី 8 ត្រូវបានប្រារព្ធឡើងនៅទីក្រុងរ៉ូម ប្រទេសអ៊ីតាលី ចាប់ពីថ្ងៃទី១២ ដល់ថ្ងៃទី១៣ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ២០២៤។ ឆ្នាំនេះ វេទិកាកសិករពិភពលោកបានប្រមូលផ្តុំមេដឹកនាំកសិករជាង៨០ នាក់ មកពីជុំវិញពិភពលោក ដែលតំណាងឱ្យកសិករខ្នាតតូចនិងគ្រួសារកសិករនៅតាមជនបទរាប់លាននាក់។ វេទិកានេះត្រូវបានប្រារព្ធឡើងនៅទីស្នាក់ការកណ្តាលរបស់មូលនិធិអន្តរជាតិសម្រាប់ការអភិវឌ្ឍន៍កសិកម្ម (IFAD) នៅទីក្រុងរ៉ូម ប្រទេសអ៊ីតាលី។
ស្ថាបនិក និងជាប្រធានប្រតិបត្តិនៃសមាគមសហព័ន្ធកសិករកម្ពុជានៃអ្នកផលិតកសិកម្ម (CFAP Cambodia) គឺជាប្រតិភូមួយរូបនៃអង្គការកសិករពិភពលោក (WFO) ដែលបានចូលរួមក្នុងវេទិកាកសិករពិភពលោកឆ្នាំ២០២៤។ វេទិកាកសិករពិភពលោកបាននាំមកនូវចំណេះដឹង បទពិសោធន៍ និងការអភិវឌ្ឍន៍នៅក្នុង ភាពជាដៃគូរវាងអង្គការកសិករ អង្គការជនជាតិដើមភាគតិច និងអង្គការយុវជនមកពីទូទាំងពិភពលោក។
វេទិកាកសិករពិភពលោក (FAFO) កាលពីដំបូងឡើយ បានផ្តួចផ្តើមដោយមូលនិធិអន្តរជាតិសម្រាប់ការអភិវឌ្ឍន៍កសិកម្ម (IFAD) ក្នុងអំឡុងឆ្នាំ២០០៥ ចាប់តាំងពីពេលនោះមក វេទិកាកសិករពិភពលោក (FAFO) ត្រូវបានប្រារព្ធធ្វើឡើងរៀងរាល់ពីរឆ្នាំម្តងរហូតដល់ឆ្នាំ២០១៦ បន្ទាប់ពីឆ្នាំ២០១៦វេទិកានេះបានផ្លាស់ប្តូរទៅជាបួនឆ្នាំម្តង។
នៅតាមតំបន់នីមួយៗបានបង្កើតវេទិកាកសិករថ្នាក់តំបន់ Regional FAFO ក្នុងតំបន់រៀងៗខ្លួន។ កន្លងមកនៅតំបន់អាស៊ីបានរៀបចំព្រឹត្តិការណ៍ចំនួនពីររួចមកហើយ ពោលគឺវេទិកាកសិករថ្នាក់តំបន់លើកទីមួយដែលបានប្រារព្ធឡើងនៅថ្ងៃទី១៩-២១ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ២០១៨ នៅទីក្រុងយ៉ូជីយ៉ាកាតា Yogyakarta ប្រទេសឥណ្ឌូនេស៊ី និងវេទិកាកសិករថ្នាក់តំបន់ទីពីរដែលធ្វើឡើងនៅថ្ងៃទី២៥-២៩ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ២០២២ នៅទីក្រុងបាងកក Bangkok ប្រទេសថៃ។
