On 18th February 2022 Ms. Thach Chanthida on behalf of Mr. Sok Sotha, CFAP lead founder and managing director and ALiSEA Board of member (BOM) on policy for Cambodia had participated in the virtual workshop of the thematic green talk in Cambodia on Chicken production and Value chain organized by the Agroecology Learning Alliance in South East Asia (ALiSEA) in Cambodia network with more than 100 members invited to participate.

The workshop aimed to (1). strengthen knowledge and experiences sharing on chicken feed production and chicken markets and value chain, (2). promoted knowledge exchanges learning amongst ALiSEA members in Cambodia and (3). stock taking for expanding space for knowledge sharing on chicken feed production and value chain.

The workshop participated by farmers’ representatives, international development organisations and NGOs with fruitful discussion and exchanges on chicken feed production and value chain and economic analysis on chicken production for farmers, especially smallholders in rural Cambodia. From farmers side, farmers wished the international development organisations to involve independent farmer groups in the development programs of the international development organisations, so that they can speak freely with government for the interests of their farmer members.

The workshop came into a good conclusion, stock taking and knowledge and experiences sharing for further actions in the future amongst ALiSEA members in Cambodia as well as for sharing in the region in particular in the Mekong delta.
