CAMBODIA-THAILAND BORDER CLASHES STATEMENT BY THE CAMBODIAN FARMER FEDERATION ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS!

On behalf of the farmers organization.

After carefully observing of the Cambodian Farmer Federation Association of Agricultural Producers – CFAP Cambodia, we can understand that the escalation of Cambodia-Thailand border clashes has expanding along the border brutally and dangerously.

Thousands of villagers along the border as they are innocent people and 90% of them are smallholder farmers, good food producers that they are contributing actively to food security and nutrition to feed people in the community, the region and the world. Due to militaries tensions and escalation of clashes along the Cambodia-Thailand border with bombing strikes and firing, now more and more family farmers are evacuating and giving up their crops and animals to find safe places of hundreds of kilometers away from their villages.

We would like to appeal to both countries to resolve the conflict through the international laws to ensure long term peace between Cambodia and Thailand and in the framework of ASEAN member states peacefully. We wish God helps farmers, smallholders as they are facing food challenges and food shortages to survive their daily lives and lives are worsening as they do not have proper shelters at the moment while they are leaving from their villages and farms to evacuate themselves from the fighting to survive their lives.

In this regard, once again on behalf of the farmers, smallholders and farmers’ organizations in Cambodia we would like to urge Cambodia and Thailand to continue discussion to cease fire immediately and use the internal mechanism and laws at all levels to resolve the border conflicts and change the border into sovereignty respect, solidarity, culture, economy and cooperation for long term peace.

អ្នកភូមិរាប់ពាន់នាក់រស់នៅតាមបណ្តោយព្រំដែន ដោយសារពួកគេជាប្រជាជនស្លូតត្រង់ ហើយ ៩០% នៃពួកគេគឺជាកសិករអ្នកផលិតខ្នាតតូច ដែលជាអ្នកផលិតម្ហូបអាហារ ដែលពួកគេបានរួមចំណែកយ៉ាងសកម្មដល់ សន្តិសុខស្បៀង និងអាហារូបត្ថម្ភ ដើម្បីចិញ្ចឹមប្រជាជនក្នុងសហគមន៍ តំបន់ និងពិភពលោក។ ដោយសារតែភាពតានតឹងផ្នែកយោធា និងការកើនឡើងនៃការប៉ះទង្គិចគ្នានៅតាមបន្ទាត់ព្រំដែនកម្ពុជា-ថៃ ជាមួយនឹងការវាយប្រហារដោយការទម្លាក់គ្រាប់បែក ពេលនេះមានក្រុមគ្រួសារកសិករ កាន់តែច្រើនឡើងកំពុងជម្លៀសចេញ ចាកចេញពីផ្ទះសំបែងនិងបោះបង់ចោលដំណាំបន្លែបង្ការ និងសត្វពាហនៈរបស់ពួកគេ ដើម្បីទៅស្វែងរកទីកន្លែងសុវត្ថិភាពដែលមានចម្ងាយរាប់រយគីឡូម៉ែត្រពីភូមិរបស់ពួកគេ។

យើងសូមអំពាវនាវឱ្យប្រទេសទាំងពីរបន្តពិភាក្សារកដំណោះស្រាយជម្លោះតាមរយៈយន្តការច្បាប់អន្តរជាតិ ដើម្បីធានាបាននូវសន្តិភាពយូរអង្វែងរវាងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា និងប្រទេសថៃ និងក្នុងក្របខ័ណ្ឌនៃរដ្ឋសមាជិកអាស៊ានដោយសន្តិវិធី។ យើងសូមឱ្យព្រះប្រទានពរជួយប្រជាកសិករ និងប្រជាជនទាំងអស់ ខណៈដែលពួកគេកំពុងប្រឈមមុខនឹងកង្វះស្បៀងអាហារ ក្នុងគ្រាដ៏លំបាកនេះ ហើយជីវិតជនភៀសសឹកកាន់តែយ៉ាប់យ៉ឺន ដោយសារពួកគេមិនមានជម្រកត្រឹមត្រូវនៅពេលពួកគេចាកចេញពីផ្ទះសំបែងនិងកសិដ្ឋានដែលជាកន្លែងដាំដុះចិញ្ចឹមសម្រាប់ចិញ្ចឹមជីវិតឡើយ។

ក្នុងន័យនេះ ជាថ្មីម្តងទៀត តាងនាមកសិករ និងអង្គការកសិករជាតិនៅកម្ពុជា យើងសូមជំរុញឱ្យភាគីកម្ពុជា និងថៃ បន្តពិភាក្សាគ្នា ដើម្បីបញ្ឈប់ការបាញ់ប្រហារជាបន្ទាន់ និងប្រើប្រាស់យន្តការច្បាប់គ្រប់លំដាប់ថ្នាក់ ដើម្បីដោះស្រាយជម្លោះព្រំដែន និងប្រែក្លាយជម្លោះព្រំដែនទៅជាការគោរពអធិបតេយ្យភាពគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក សាមគ្គីភាព វប្បធម៌ សេដ្ឋកិច្ច និងកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការ ដើម្បីសន្តិភាពយូរអង្វែង។
