The 2024 GLOBAL FARMERS’ FORUM IN ROME!

The 8th Global Meeting of the Farmers’ Forum took place in Rome, Italy from 12-13 February 2024. This year the Global Farmers’ Forum brought more than 80 farmer leaders from around the world that represent millions of smallholder farmers and rural farming families to meet at IFAD’s headquarter in Rome, Italy.

CFAP’s lead founder and chief executive is one amongst the WFO’s delegates to participated in the Global Farmers’ Forum 2024. It Global Farmers’ Forum brought knowledge, experiences and development in partnership between the Farmers’ Organizations, Indigenous People Organizations and Youth Organizations.

The Global Farmers’ Forum (FAFO) initiated by IFAD in 2005 and the FAFO organized once every two year until 2016, then take place every four year after that. Each region establish the regional FAFO and in Asia organized two times already i.e. 19-21 October 2018 held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and 25-29 October 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.
